Final exams MUST be taken in a proctored setting. Proctors outside of the VDLP must be approved by the VDLP Staff.
Proctors are individuals who administer an exam from a facility such as the library or local school. Proctors may be a:
- school teacher
- school principal
- school counselor
- probation officer
- testing center employee
Proctors MAY NOT BE a family member, relative, friend, neighbor, athletic coach, or student tutor
- One week before you will take your exam, identify a person to proctor your exam. Select a person who can provide you with computer and reliable internet access. (click here to see the necessary System Requirements)
- Click here to download and print the Proctor Request Letter to take to the person you want to proctor your exam. The letter gives them a web address where they can register online to become an approved proctor. Upon approval, the proctor will then be contacted by the VDLP staff. You will be notified by email that your proctor has been approved.
- Upon approval from your teacher to take your exam, set up an appointment with your proctor to take the exam. Then call or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) the date and time of this appointment to the VDLP.
